About The Peralta Foundation:
Honoring Richard Peralta's Legacy

The Peralta Foundation was created to honor Richard Peralta, a devoted Grand Master in the martial arts self-defense system of Kajukembo, a veteran, and a true servant leader who dedicated his life to teaching, guiding, and uplifting others.

Born on May 9, 1935, in California, Richard began his Kajukembo journey in the late 1950s with Maestro Aleju Reyes (Senior). While serving 20 years in the Air Force across Okinawa, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, and the Philippines, he continued to train and expand his knowledge of other martial arts. After retiring, he taught students in Fort Worth, Texas, often in a small warehouse or right in his own home, never letting cost stand in the way for anyone who wanted to learn.

Richard’s example of selflessness and commitment left a lasting mark on his son, Dominic Peralta. Motivated by the same desire to build community and give youth a place to grow, Dominic and his wife, Gina, founded House of Hustle as a basketball training and Vertimax performance training organization.

As House of Hustle grew, they saw the need to do even more for families facing financial hardship. To expand the mission and ensure everyone could have access regardless of income, they transitioned House of Hustle into a nonprofit, officially establishing The Peralta Foundation in Richard’s name. His spirit of generosity, inclusion, and mentorship continues to guide everything they do.

How We Help

Basketball Training Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available for our group basketball training sessions, thanks to generous donor support. House of Hustle offers up to 50% off group training sessions through our Needs-Based Financial Assistance program.

Eligibility for this assistance includes approval for Free & Reduced Lunch, SNAP, Medicaid, CHIP, or a statement letter from HUD/Section 8 or WIC. Additionally, consideration is based on income documentation and last year’s tax return.

House of Hustle Basketball League Scholarship

The House of Hustle basketball league welcomes all athletes, but we understand that financial challenges can make joining difficult. Scholarships are available for families who want to participate in the league but are unable to afford the registration fees.

Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and available funds.

Select Basketball Player Scholarship

The House of Hustle Select Basketball Program is dedicated to providing opportunities for athletes ready to compete at the next level. We understand that financial challenges can sometimes create barriers. To support athletes and their families, we offer scholarships for the Select Basketball Program. Please note, scholarship applications can only be submitted after receiving an official offer letter from a House of Hustle basketball coach.

Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and available funds.

Partnerships

We partner with nonprofits, community groups, and local businesses that share our goal of creating access and opportunity through sports.
